Amazonian superfruit blend with chia

The Story
Açaí (Euterpe oleracea) is a palm tree native to the Amazon basin, where indigenous communities have harvested and consumed the small, dark purple berries for thousands of years. The word "açaí" comes from the Tupi-Guarani language and means "fruit that cries or expels water." In the Amazon, açaí has historically been a dietary staple — consumed as a thick purple paste or drink that provides sustained energy for labourers and farmers.
Açaí reached global superfood status in the 2000s after Brazilian athletes and surfers popularised açaí bowls, and scientific studies confirmed its extraordinary antioxidant content — ORAC values (a measure of antioxidant capacity) for açaí are among the highest of any food tested. The berries are rich in anthocyanins (the same antioxidants in blueberries and red wine), healthy fats, and fibre.
At Cappadocia, our acai smoothie blends acai with mixed berries, chia seeds, and coconut water — a genuinely nutritious and deeply coloured drink that delivers antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids (from chia), and electrolytes (from coconut water) in every serving.
